Under Artistic Director Alicia Graf Mack, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater continues its tradition of presenting dance that combines modern, ballet, and dances from African traditions to create a form of lyrical, athletic expression that knows no borders. The season includes two programs: the first featuring iconic works by Alvin Ailey and Ronald K. Brown; the second featuring recent creations by Medhi Walerski, Judith Jamison, Lar Lubovitch, and Jamar Roberts. Both programs end with Mr. Ailey’s masterpiece, Revelations, the ultimate anthem to resilience and joy.
