Solomon Dumas

Solomon Dumas (Chicago, IL) (he, him) began his lifelong journey with the Ailey organization at AileyCamp. He trained formally at The Chicago Academy for the Arts and the Russell Talbert Dance Studio — the latter proving most influential to his development — before continuing his studies at New World School of the Arts and as a Fellowship Level 1 student at The Ailey School. Dumas has performed with Garth Fagan Dance; Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE, A Dance Company; Labyrinth Dance Theater; and Ailey II. He was awarded Nigel Lythgoe’s Dizzy Feet Foundation scholarship. His theater credits include Goodman Theatre’s Black Nativity directed by the late Mike Malone. He has also shared the stage with recording artists Donald Lawrence, Dee Dee Bridgewater, André De Shields, and Ledisi. Dumas joined the company in 2016. Instagram: @Solomon.Dumas
