Take the next step in your dance career! See when The Ailey School audition tour is coming to a city near you. Auditions will be held for the following programs:
Summer Intensive 2026*
- Junior Division (ages 12 to 15): June 29–July 24, 2026
- Professional Division (ages 16 to 25): June 29–July 31, 2026
Professional Division 2026-27 School Year**
- Certificate Program (ages 17 to 23)
- Independent Study Program (ages 17 to 25)
- Scholarship Program (ages 17 to 21)
*Summer applicants who exhibit the highest potential in dance will be considered for merit-based scholarship and housing stipends. Need-based housing assistance is also available by application.
**Applicants to the school year programs who exhibit the highest potential in dance will be considered for a merit-based scholarship. Limited need-based subsidized housing is also available by application.

FAQs
For the Professional Division, there is a $30 audition fee for all Scholarship, Certificate, Independent Study, and Summer Intensive applicants. You can sign up for the audition and pay the fee once you’ve applied to your chosen program. There is a $45 audition fee for prospective Ailey/Fordham BFA applicants who are invited to attend an audition.
For the Junior Division, a $30 audition fee is required for students auditioning for the Summer Intensive. For students auditioning for the Junior Division school year, an audition fee is not required.
Notification of acceptance will be sent by email within three weeks of an audition.
No. The Ailey School does not provide performance critiques or discuss the artistic panel’s decision after an audition.
