About the Program
Curriculum
The Junior Division Summer Intensive is designed to fulfill Alvin Ailey's philosophy of cultivating well-rounded dancers. Taught by a distinguished faculty, the Summer Intensive’s curriculum includes ballet, Horton, Graham-based modern, Limón, jazz, contemporary, and West African. The weekly schedule consists of daily technique classes and a masterclass. Students are assigned to a class level based on their skill and experience, determined during their audition.
