
Summer Housing
Only those accepted students who have made a tuition deposit to reserve their place in the Summer Intensive may reserve housing.
All fees and advance deposits are non-refundable and will be deducted from the total cost of housing.
Acceptance into The Ailey School Summer Intensive does not guarantee a student housing.
Please carefully read the Handbook of the residence of your choice before proceeding with your housing contract.

Merit-based housing assistance is available to students who show the highest dance potential at their audition.
Limited need-based housing stipends are also available by application to those who qualify. Students may apply for need-based assistance after they are accepted to the Summer Intensive.
How To Reserve Housing
Please note: The Summer Housing Contract will be visible AFTER 3 days from the date you submitted your Tuition Contract.
Log in to the Housing Contract
(Use the same Primary email and password you created when you filled out your initial inquiry and application form in the Apply Online Portal).
Complete the Summer Housing Contract Form page to make your housing deposit/payment* and sign the required Release Forms to complete the process of reserving space in the dorm.
A $300 non-refundable housing deposit is due after your tuition deposit is made. Advance deposits will be deducted from the total cost of housing.
Please note: The “Summer Tuition Contract” differs from “Summer Housing Contract”. You will not be given access to the Housing Contract to reserve your space in the dormitory until your Summer Tuition Contract form is complete!
*Accepted forms of payment: Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover cards. Please pre-authorize payments with your credit card provider, as daily limits may interfere with processing and cause late payments.
After submitting the Summer Housing Contract students will gain access to the full Summer Housing Portal. Use the Summer Housing Portal to upload/enter additional required information as follows:

Pay the final balance and submit all required materials by May 15, 2026. Housing reservations cannot be guaranteed if fees and materials are not received on time.
Housing is not reserved until all the above steps are completed.
All students are required to carry a valid government-issued photo ID* with them at all times during their stay in New York City. This requirement supports identity verification and overall student safety, including in the event of an accident or emergency. Students who do not currently have a state-issued photo ID are strongly encouraged obtain one prior to their arrival in New York.
*A valid government ID includes one of the following: REAL ID-compliant license, an Enhanced Driver's License, or a valid passport/passport card.
