Tell It Like It Is

Tell It Like It Is was choreographed for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in 1988, and charts the emotional journey from, as the Los Angeles Times described, “spiritual illumination to numbing drug addiction.” The New York Times said that the work “demands a difficult balance of physical strength and feathery deftness from its interpreter.” Kelvin Rotardier originally choreographed this work on Gary DeLoatch.
