Tyrone Reese (Mobile, AL) (he/him) is a proud alumnus of The Juilliard School and a 2020 YoungArts Winner in Ballet. At Juilliard, he performed works by choreographers including Ohad Naharin, Aszure Barton, Rena Butler, Jamar Roberts, and Tiler Peck. Reese made his Broadway debut in Illinoise, choreographed and directed by Justin Peck, and later served as a universal swing and dance captain on the First National Tour of MJ: The Musical. He has performed at New York City’s Fall for Dance Festival with kNoname Artist under the direction of Roderick George. Through his artistry, he hopes to inspire young Black people to embrace the fullness of who they are and to see the arts as a space for expression, excellence, liberation, and joy.
