Ailey Athletic Boys

The Ailey Athletic Boys dance program is a tuition free program within the Pre-Professional Program of the Junior Division for boys ages 7 to 11 who exhibit a strong interest in dance. 

The program provides young boys access to conservatory training that builds camaraderie in a fun and engaging yet structured atmosphere. The program's main goal is to inspire boys to one day matriculate into the highest levels in the Junior Division Pre-Professional program. Prior dance training is not required.

Classes are structured to develop strength, flexibility, and coordination along with the discipline, focus, and drive found in professional male athletes and dancers. Students participate in a variety of classes including ballet, Horton (a modern dance technique), West African, and tap.

Students attend classes once or twice a week depending on level placement. Classes are held on Saturday for Level A and on Saturday and another weekday for Levels B and C. The school year commences in September and ends in May.
