Presented in Partnership with Earl Mosley's Diversity of Dance

Fredrick Earl Mosley, together with Dudley Williams, Matthew Rushing, Clifton Brown, Brian Harlan Brooks, and Jamal Story, created Hearts of Men as a safe space where men and genderqueer/non-binary individuals could come together to share life experiences through the transformative power of movement.

As the late, great Dudley Williams, a dancer with Martha Graham Dance Company and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, said about this uplifting program, "I can't explain it, you just have to feel it and see it, but it's extraordinary."

Hearts of Men creates an environment for participants to forge life-long healthy and supportive relationships as a dance community through classes, discussions, and performances. Friends and families are highly encouraged to participate together—the program is open to dancers ages 13 and up of any level.

2025 Hearts of Men teaching artists, choreographers, and speakers include Zhoje Azeke, Patrick Coker, Roderick Jackson, Aubrey Lynch, Olivier Medus, Freddie Moore, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Daniel Padierna, Jeremy Pichardo, Robert Redick, and Michael Snipe

My goal was to create a community where men of all ages and backgrounds could play, create, share, and ultimately come together to speak to the Hearts of Men—where men, young and old, brought everything they had and left it on the dance floor.
