Kris World's high-spirited and witty line dance is set to the infectious, upbeat music of vocal instrumentalist Bobby McFerrin. The gospel-turned-chant rhythms are ingeniously used by World for variations on a repetitive theme in a line pattern. Before entering the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater repertory, the work was performed by Artistic Director Emerita Judith Jamison’s own company, The Jamison Project.
