Acclaimed choreographer Kyle Abraham’s Are You in Your Feelings? is a celebration of Black culture, Black music, and the youthful spirit that perseveres in us all. Scored to a “mixtape” of soul, hip hop, and R&B, it highlights the bridge between music, communication, and personal memory. Abraham combines hip hop and modern dance vernaculars to create a dynamic and thoroughly contemporary movement language, with the dancers shifting from technical virtuosity to interactions that convey emotional and romantic entanglements.

"The choreographer Kyle Abraham knows how to make a playlist... [His third work for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater] unfurls to an R&B, soul and hip-hop compilation of thoroughly danceable songs about love and relationships...The dancing commands attention right away...I can imagine happily returning to see it again and again."
