Join us for a thoughtfully designed, 60-minute dance experience for older adults that supports physical conditioning, strength, flexibility, and balance, while stimulating cognitive function and fostering artistic expression. The workshop will be led by two teaching artists who demonstrate the movements both seated and standing, ensuring everyone can fully participate. Class begins with a gentle, progressive warmup followed by learned dance phrases in a variety of styles, including adapted excerpts of Alvin Ailey’s masterwork, Revelations

No prior experience is necessary. All older adults and participants of all abilities, including those with wheelchairs, canes, or walkers are welcome to participate. Chairs are provided for all.

RSVP to Andreia Wardlaw at [email protected]. Include any special accommodations you may need in the email.
