Vogue, which originated in the Harlem balls, emulates the poses of fashion magazines but also draws from hieroglyphic imagery and martial arts. In this class, students master the five key elements to voguing—catwalk, spins and dips, floor work, hand work, and duckwalk—while unleashing their self-expression and connecting to the history of vogue and ballroom culture.


New Way Vogue

Flexibility, precision, and sharp lines are key to New Way vogue. Arm control shows off a dancers’ ability to create shapes, illusions, and face-framing lines, all to the beat of the music. Students in this class also practice other key vogue elements with an emphasis on expression and confidence.

Vogue Basics

Vogue Basics is perfect for students looking to begin their vogue journey and understand the fundamentals. The instructor will break down the five elements of vogue to allow students to perfect their technique at a slow and easy-to-follow pace.

Vogue Fem

Vogue Fem is, at its core, self-expression through femininity. Students learn a choreographed combination with a focus on finding their personal, feminine essence. This is an expressive, full-body movement class that will challenge your agility, strength, and spatial awareness while allowing you to tap into your fiercest self.

  • Absolute Beginner (ABS BEG): for students with little to no prior experience or knowledge of the technique. 
  • Beginner (BEG): for students with a basic understanding of the fundamentals and foundations of the technique. 
  • Advanced Beginner (ADV BEG): for students with prior experience and a more comprehensive understanding of the technique and vocabulary. 
  • Intermediate/Advanced (INT/ADV): for students with extensive training and an expansive knowledge of the technique and its proper alignment. 
  • Open: for students of any level.
