Ailey Athletic Boys is a tuition free program within the Junior Division Pre-Professional Program for boys ages 7 to 11 who exhibit a strong interest in dance. Prior dance training is not required.
All students must audition for the Pre-Professional Program to be considered for placement in the Athletic Boys program.
Upcoming Auditions
2026-27 Ailey Athletic Boys
Pre-registration is required for auditions. Enrollment is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and programs may fill quickly. Late auditions and enrollment may be available if space permits.

Students need to attend one audition session only and must be the program age by September 1, 2026, to be eligible to audition. Students ages 14–17 years old who attend the June audition are automatically considered for merit-based scholarship.

To receive updates and information about which Junior Division program would be right for your child, please fill out the inquiry form.
For the Junior Division, a $20 audition fee is required for students auditioning for the summer intensive. For students auditioning for the Junior Division school year, an audition fee is not required.
Level placement is determined based on several factors, including (but not limited to) proficiency in ballet and modern, instructor recommendations, and observations made by the audition panel. Previous evaluations and attendance records are also reviewed to determine level placement.
