Artistic Director Emerita Judith Jamison choreographed Rift to a commissioned score by singer/songwriter Nona Hendryx. Abstract in nature, it is about an outsider rejected by the group. The work displayed Ms. Jamison’s growing confidence as a choreographer and persuasively used formal dance for expressive purposes.
