In memory of Roxanne Eley

Lisa Johnson, a member of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at the time she choreographed this piece, explores the power of dance as a way through the fences we build around ourselves. Johnson’s choreography—physical, emotional, and spellbinding—is like a story unfolding, pulling the viewer into the moment when new awareness can open one’s heart and mind.
