The fluid, undulating, rippling movements of Lar Lubovitch's North Star are brilliantly set to composer Philip Glass' haunting score. The dance contains ebb-and-flow patterns that match the music’s rhythmically repetitive phrases, with is a strong focus on communal effort among the dancers. Human ropes form, with dancers locked into shared rhythmic pulses. The New York Times called the suite “a string of choreographic daydreams.”
