Jukebox for Alvin is a mix of solos, duets, trios, and ensemble sections all set to an eclectic score of musical genres that run the gamut from Dvorak to popular music, a diversity that pays tribute to Alvin Ailey's wide range of artistic interests. The work is an elegiac homage by Fagan to his teacher, mentor, and friend.
