Inspired by Bach’s suites for cello, Intimate Voices blends simplicity and intricacy into a homogeneous set of short dances—each abstractly expressing a different feeling or state of mind, from melancholy solitude to a warm embrace, from profound yearnings and relentless pursuits to a joyous brief encounter. The dancers move through emotionally diverse moments calling on their technical brilliance while reaching for the depths of their individual expressions.
