Camille A. Brown’s signature solo, set on Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater as a trio for other dancers, explores notions of femininity with humor and candor. The women in this witty portrait veer between uncertainty and carefree confidence as they groove and saunter to the music of Ella Fitzgerald, Betty Carter, and Nancy Wilson. Brown again proves herself a gifted storyteller with a flair for keen observations of everyday life.
