Lar Lubovitch’s Cavalcade is considered a tour-de-force of modern dance. Technically demanding, it displays the physical prowess of eight dancers. Cavalcade, once a mainstay of Lubovitch's own company’s repertoire, was choreographed in 1980 to the music of Steve Reich and had its Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater premiere in 1996.
