Loris Anthony Beckles created Anjour (subtitled Ruminations on Dudley) as a tribute to Dudley Williams to mark the occasion of his 20th anniversary as a member of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. The three-part solo's changing moods suggest joy, sadness, and finally, a coming to terms. Three selections from the jazz pianist Keith Jarrett's recording Facing You form the soundtrack.
