Ines Aslan joined AILEY in November 2021 as its first Chief External Affairs Officer, a strategic position charged with aligning the work of the organization’s outward-facing teams in marketing, communications, and development. 

A native of Buenos Aires who has lived and worked in New York City for more than thirty years, Aslan has amassed a wide range of experience in the non-profit cultural field. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Visitor Experience at the New-York Historical Society, the first museum in New York City. Previously, Aslan held communications and programming roles at Film at Lincoln Center and the Tribeca Film Festival. She was Communications Officer at El Museo del Barrio and Executive Director of the American Friends of the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba. She also worked in the corporate sector on Public Relations teams for major consumer brands including Ford, L’Oreal, and McDonald’s. 

Aslan holds an M.A. in Cinema Studies from New York University and a B.S. in Film Production from CUNY. A classically trained child musician, Aslan is also a former dancer. She was a scholarship student at the prestigious San Martin Theater dance school in Buenos Aires and trained at the Merce Cunningham Studio and Nikolais Dance Theater in New York City.
