Join former Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater dancer Christopher Huggins for a dynamic and expressive dance workshop that blends the language of contemporary modern jazz with the precision and grace of ballet. This class is designed to broaden your movement vocabulary, deepen musicality, and cultivate a fearless, explosive performance style. 

About the Instructor

Christopher L. Huggins is a former member of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater who works throughout Europe, Japan, the Caribbean, and the United States as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer. Huggins attended SUNY Purchase and Juilliard and was a scholarship student at The Ailey School. He is a 2002 and 2008 recipient of the Black Theater Alliance Best Choreography award for his works Enemy Behind the Gates (PHILADANCO!) and Pyrokinesis (Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago), respectively. In addition to commissions for Ailey II and The Ailey School, he has set works on universities and high schools throughout the United States.
